Prospective Students

If you are interested in innovating hardware to enable future applications, and demonstrating your ideas with real silicon chips and practical systems, please join us! A background in electrical engineering, computer engineering, and other related programs is required. Experience with electronics and IC design is preferred, but creativity and motivation are the utmost criteria. Please check out our research and publications for more details about our research.

  • Current Rice students looking for research opportunities: Please email Dr. Yang to schedule a meeting.
Please start your email subject with [Rice owls] for filtering purposes!
  • Non-Rice students interested in Ph.D. program and internships: Please follow the official guidelines to apply for Rice ECE and select computer engineering as your research area. There is NO application fee and NO GRE requirement!
